Easter weekend

We had a great holiday this weekend. Since Eliza no longer sleeps in, Matt took her to the easter egg hunt at Sprint (formerly Franklin Covey) field at 8:00 am. I guess it set a Utah record for the most people at an easter egg hunt but Eliza was still able to come away with five eggs. She had a really fun time and I was grateful for the extra sleep. Thanks Matt!
Later that day, we went over to IFA to buy some fertilizer since now we have a lawn to take care of. My mom suggested that place because they also have baby chicks, ducks and rabbits to look at. Eliza was in heaven. She loves animals. They also had a horse and some mini goats. They were so cute and the workers there were really nice to get some of the animals out for Eliza to pet. Between IFA and PetSmart, who needs to spend $8 at the zoo? It's just as fun and a lot closer.

On Sunday morning Eliza was excited to open her Easter present. She got a new coloring book and a plastic wagon. We, I mean the easter bunny, thought the wagon was full of gardening tools but it's more of a beach themed wagon. Oh well, she still likes it.

Sundays are rough for Eliza because she usually misses her nap but we were able to get a few smiles of her in her new dress before church. Afterwards she had an egg hunt (or an egg punt, as she says) at Grandma and Grandpa McCann's house. Then we headed up to Syracuse for cousin Mylee's birthday party. It was a fun, eventful day and Eliza was in a surprisingly good mood for being sleep deprived. Must have been a sugar buzz from all the candy she ate.
